Study in the UK: Bellerbys College’s campuses have got their new specialization

20.01.2014
Образование в Великобритании: Кампусы Bellerbys College с 2014 года будут специализированными

We are pleased to inform you of some exciting plans for the future development of the four Bellerbys College centres in Brighton, Oxford, Cambridge and London.

Over the next 18 months, each centre will develop core specialism as follows:

· Bellerbys London will specialise in the teaching of Business to international students. The campus will  become the focal point for the teaching of our Undergraduate Year One and Pre-Masters programmes

· Bellerbys Cambridge will develop its specialism in Science & Engineering. We will add significant investment to both our science facilities and science teaching body at Cambridge. The teaching of all subjects in Cambridge will take place at the Queens Campus from September 2014 as we remove all student activity from the Manor Campus by the end of August

· Bellerbys Oxford will develop with specialisms in Arts, Law and Humanities. We will expand the teaching body into these three faculties and further invest in new art, design and media facilities.

· Bellerbys Brighton will specialise as a modern boarding school for students aged 13+. We will continue to offer an extensive choice of subjects across the disciplines at GCSE, A level and Foundation at the campus. This will include the new GCSE Pathway programme for 2 and 3 year study from September 2014, which was launched in November 2013.

Each Bellerbys College centre already provides students with excellent teaching, learning and enrichment opportunities. As well as the investment in facilities, part of the investment in each centre will also expand the enrichment programme in line with the centre’s specialism. This will foster more links with employers and leading universities to enhance the student experience outside of the classroom.

The specialism’s, courses and programmes running in each centre from September 2014 are outlined in a new mini-brochure and will be explained in greater detail in the 2014/15 Prospectus, available in late January 2014. The GCSE Pathway programme in Brighton is outlined fully in the brochure “Focussing on your future”.

In the first few weeks of the new term, Principals and Academic Directors will be talking with students in their centres about the opportunities for on-going study at the end of their current course. We will provide them with all the necessary support to help them explore new courses and location options.

This is an exciting phase for Bellerbys College. These developments will help us to enhance even further the academic outcomes and progression for our students, ensuring we remain the UK’s leading specialist in the provision of pre-University education to international students.
